(500) Days of Summer (2009)
Director: Marc Webb | Rated: PG-13 | Original review date: 23-Aug-2009 (updated 18-Feb-2010)
Well I heard great things about this film, but was surprised when I went to the theatre and there were only 4 other people there! This film was simply amazing. Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt are two of the best young actors out right now, and being a fan of their previous work I can confidently say we will be seeing more of them. This film is not a typical romantic comedy. The realism portrayed in this film is accurate and honest while covered in a creative shell. The two exceptionally talented leads and the extraordinarily original manner in which the film is shot and put together make it a huge standout. This movie is very emotional, and tells a story of love more realistic that any movie out there.
Rating: 7 out of 7

Absolutely right. It was very emotional. I laughed, I cried, I was angry and shocked…not your typical love story. It was very realistic. All of the situations and emotions rang true. I didn’t particularly love this film. I think I didn’t because it’s so realistic and made me sad.
