I’ll be honest and say the trailer didn’t impress me, but being that its directed by Sam Raimi and got good reviews, I knew I had to watch it. It did not disappoint! Don’t be dissuaded by the PG-13 rating, though there’s not much extreme gore or heavy language, there’s plenty of grotesque and simply disturbing scenes that will have you reaching for the barf bag (you’ll never look at denture wearing grannies the same again). The story is fairly original and the lead actress is very likeable. Hopefully this film will revive good horror films, as it does an excellent job. It’s a great supernatural thriller with some morbid humor thrown in, and a shocking ending!
