Zombie Diaries, The (2006)
Rated: R | Review date: 25-Oct-2009
“The Zombie Diaries” blends your typical zombie horror with the current P.O.V. camera style trend. If you think the name and concept sound familiar, then you’ve no doubt heard of George A. Romero’s “Diary of the Dead.” While “The Zombie Diaries” was actually made before “Diary of the Dead,” that doesn’t necessarily mean Romero ripped off writer/director team Michael Bartlett and Kevin Gates. In fact, though DOTD received mixed reviews even from Romero fans, Diary still had a much better impact on me (and yes, I’m one of the few that really enjoyed it). I felt Diaries started off very strong and had much potential, even the acting was pretty decent for such a low budget, but it kind of drifted out towards the end. They took a surprising angle with the ending that, like Diary, illustrates human behavior during times of chaos. However, the bizarre chronology mixed with many loose ends and unexplained situations made Diaries stop short of being a top-notch zombie flick.

I bought the Zombie Diaries for like 2 bucks at Walmart. I am a hugeee zombie movie fan so I thought this was a great buy. I was so excited to see it.
In short: Worst 2 bucks I have ever spent. This movie shames all zombie films!
I have much to say/rant about this movie but it will just get me riled up. It sucked
