Peter and Vandy (Jason Ritter and Jess Weixler) are two young lovers in Manhattan. The film is a classic boy meets girl tale, except being told out of sequence and following the many highs and lows that realistically exist in modern relationships. I found the film very reminiscent of last year’s 500 Days of Summer with respect to both the non-linear storytelling and extremely realistic and honest relationship portrayal. Where Peter and Vandy differs, however, is it its more basic approach. I absolutely loved this film for both its realism and convincing performances especially by the two leads. Jason Ritter specifically deserves much more serious attention! 3/4
