The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2Tobe Hooper returns 12 years after the now cult classic, 1974′s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre with a sequel. So how does one approach a follow up to one of the most groundbreaking horror films of its time? By making a complete mockery of it, that’s how. A radio DJ (Williams) receives a call one night and hears the murder of two annoying idiots. In comes a former Texas Marshall (Hopper) determined to capture Leatherface and co. after a slew of unsolved murders and disappearances over the years. The result is a hilariously gory and over-the-top homage to Hooper’s own previous film. With plenty of views of Williams’ legs, tons of chainsawing, and an abundance of overacting, the film is a downright good time. It lacks the seriousness and true horror of the original, but why try to top something so monumental when you can just have some fun with it?
