Wolfman, The (2010)
Director: Joe Johnston
Writers: Andrew Kevin Walker, David Self, and Curt Siodmak (1941 screenplay)
Rated: Unrated (violence and gore)
Cast: Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, and Anthony Hopkins
Based on the 1941 classic, The Wolfman follows Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) who returns to Blackmoor in search of his brother. There he reunites with his father (Anthony Hopkins) and his brother’s fiancĂ©e Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt) while hauntings of his past start to resurface. After being attacked by a wolf, he of course begins to take on a transformation. The movie is a great update of the original with a dark atmosphere and solid performances. I have to admit it started slow for me, but it kicked in during the second half. The transformation scene in front of the scholars and the wolf vs. wolf showdown are amongst my favorite scenes. I enjoyed this film very much after it got going; overall a nicely done update of the werewolf classic. IMDb/trailers/clips | Official movie site

I’m glad you liked it. I was looking forward to seeing this. I’m still a little on the fence about it. You say its slow in the beginning. I hope I have enough patience to sit through it. I usually turn a movie off if I don’t like it within the first half
