The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in IMAX release date! Plus David Slade’s Behind the scenes photos

Summit Entertainment has announced that they plan on releasing Eclipse in June 2010 in IMAX theatres alongside the standard theatrical release. Also, director of Eclipse, David Slade, has released several beautiful behind the scenes photographs from the set of Eclipse which can be seen here: http://www.examiner.com/ExaminerSlideshow.html?entryid=825298&slide=1. These photos are very beautifully shot and feature cast, crew, and gorgeous landscapes from the shooting location.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Updates, Photo, and Teaser Trailer

Great news for Harry Potter fans, the final book adaptation of the enormously successful franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be split into two parts. Yes, that means there will be two more Harry Potter films to satisfy all of the aspiring wizards and witches out there. The release date for the first part will be November 2010, and July 2011 for the second and final chapter in the series.
Update: The trailer has yet again been removed, so until its official mainstream release I’ll leave you with a sneak preview snapshot from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

2009 End of the Year Site News

Well folks we’ve come a long way this year, writing up over 50 film reviews since May. But do not worry, the year is not yet over and I have many reviews and other wonderful things coming your way! Aside from a couple new reviews to top off the year, I’ll have a few new special reviews, top “favorite” lists, and possibly more video reviews. So stay tuned and most of all, have a great, safe, and happy holiday season!

I wanted to take a moment to clarify my rating system, as I’m sure readers might often get confused when seeing truly great films get docked a point or two and others, such as “The Half Blood Prince,” get a perfect seven. Basically, when rating, films are compared to standards of their particular genre or class. For example, when rating “The Half Blood Prince,” it’s not being compared to “The Godfather” standards, but rather other teen supernatural dramas.
