Fish Tank gets a US Criterion DVD and Blu-ray release!

It’s been a while since I’ve covered an upcoming video release; this has mainly been not only because days seem to have less time in them lately, but also because none have really excited me that much. But with me discovering today that The Criterion Collection is releasing one of my favorite films of the year (and now of all time), I had to spread my joy.

The Hunger Games book trilogy box set release date!

The popular Hunger Games trilogy written by Suzanne Collins will be released in a special box set fit with hardcover editions of the books. This release comes on August 24th, 2010, right alongside the release of the third book, Mockingjay. This is great news for fans of one of the most exciting young adult stories of recent years! Niels Arden Oplev’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s novel, is set for a July 6, 2010 release date! This dark Swedish crime drama has critics buzzing and is quickly becoming a success on its limited release here in the US. Pre-orders for the DVD and Blu-ray are available below. Torment by Lauren Kate Release Date and Book Cover Revealed!

“Torment”, the next installment in Lauren Kate’s “Fallen” book series is set for a September 28th release date of this year. While we’re waiting, we can feast our eyes on the gorgeous new cover of the upcoming novel! Pre-orders for the book are now available on Amazon (see link below).
UPDATE: I would also like to take the time to address some discrepancies about Disney releasing the movie version. It seems as if the trend of books for young readers immediately adapted into films is not going anywhere anytime soon. The new Fallen book series written by author Lauren Kate will be adapted into film by Disney’s Mayhem Productions. The first book released earlier this week fallows a young girl torn between two fallen angels. Is the angel the next vampire?
