Paranormal Activity (2007)
Oct 22nd
Rated: R | Review date: 22-Oct-2009
The movie everyone is talking about this month is “Paranormal Activity,” the chilling low budget directorial debut by Oren Peli. Many are hailing it as the scariest movie ever made, going as far as to say they could not sleep alone the night after seeing it. So is it all hype, perhaps the result of a mass viral marketing campaign? You’ll have to judge that for yourself. One thing is for certain: the movie is surprisingly original and worth the watch for any horror fan.

Aug 30th
Review date: 29-Aug-2009
Peter Jackson is known for being behind epic films, and the case isn’t any different with District 9. The low-budget sci-fi action flick was primarily marketed online, but that didn’t stop the masses from packing the theater during a matinee three weeks after the initial US release date. Made on a slim budget of $30 million, the film makes the most out of the mockumentary style filming, CGI effects, and stock footage. What the film lacked in funding it made up for in performance and story. The audience becomes captivated by our hero Wikus and his unlikely relationship More >
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009)
Aug 28th
Let’s be real here, it’s a movie based on toys, so don’t expect an epic action film. Have realistic expectations and this film will blow you away. The kids will absolutely love this, and the inner child in everyone will have a blast watching this movie. GI Joe is an entertaining experience that will not leave you bored.
