Copying Beethoven (2006)
Nov 28th
Rated: PG-13 | Review date: 28-Nov-2009 | 50th Review!
I was quite excited to find there was a new movie based on my favorite classical composer. My interests were further aroused when I found the movie starred one of my favorite actresses, Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds). Copying Beethoven is a fictitious tale of the last year of Ludwig van Beethoven’s life as he works with a young copyist and aspiring composer named Anna (Kruger). Obsessed (2009)

Rated: PG-13 | Review date: 19-Nov-2009
TV director Steve Shill takes a stab at feature films with Obsessed, starring Beyoncé Knowles, Idris Elba, and Ali Larter. While The Proposal (directed by Anne Fletcher, 27 Dresses), starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, follows this formula for the most part, it manages to be its own movie moreso than most of its contemporaries. The story, written by Pete Chiarelli, has some parallels with movies like The Wedding Date and Green Card, but don’t let that fool you. The More >
Zombie Diaries, The (2006)
Oct 25th
Rated: R | Review date: 25-Oct-2009
“The Zombie Diaries” blends your typical zombie horror with the current P.O.V. camera style trend. If you think the name and concept sound familiar, then you’ve no doubt heard of George A. Romero’s “Diary of the Dead.” While “The Zombie Diaries” was actually made before “Diary of the Dead,” that doesn’t necessarily mean Romero ripped off writer/director team Michael Bartlett and Kevin Gates. In fact, though DOTD received mixed reviews even from Romero fans, Diary still had a much better impact on me (and yes, I’m one of the few that really enjoyed it). I More >
